Sunday the 10th of June Karin van der Reijden and Christiaan van Sluis gave a radio interview about the discovery of the Ross worm reefs at the Brown Bank. A unique finding as almost all natural reefs have disappeared from the Dutch part of the North Sea. These Ross worm reefs are the exception together with a small reef of flat oysters. Under what circumstances do these Ross worm reefs thrive and would it be possible to increase their abundance by protection? These things are discussed in the interview that can be found here.
